Our Stripe Terminal WooCommerce Plugin

A Stripe Terminal WooCommerce plugin would benefit so many businesses, so why not create one?

Arcane Strategies has created a Stripe Terminal for WooCommerce plugin! This plugin is a gateway option for a Stripe Terminal WooCommerce store that allows in-store payments using a Stripe Terminal Verifone P400. This takes advantage of the Stripe API and WooCommerce plugins to provide the functionality necessary for communicating with the terminal reader and the WooCommerce store. Our plugin takes advantage of the Stripe APIs and WooCommerce plugins to provide the functionality necessary for communicating with the terminal reader and a WooCommerce store. This requires the plugins WooCommerce and WooCommerce Stripe Gateway plugin version 4.2+, both by WooCommerc/Automattic. You will also need a Stripe account, and a Verifone p400 terminal reader.

How to Install our Stripe Terminal WooCommerce Plugin

  • After purchasing the plugin, you’ll be provided a URL to download the package. 
  • Unzip the package to your plugins directory and enable it. 
    • If you do not receive a link, please contact support. 
  • Make sure your terminal is turned on and connected to the internet. 
  • On the plugins page, select “Settings”. To set up a reader, click the “Add Reader” button and type in the registration code on your terminal (07139). 
    • Hover over the tooltip for instructions. 
  • To complete reader registration, enter the registration code (typically a string of words separated by hyphens) into the prompt on your settings page. 
  • Save your changes and you’re done!

Stripe provides an easy to use a payment gateway that addresses multiple aspects of accepting credit card (and other) payments online. They also offer fraud prevention benefits that are typically superior to other products. Unlike other payment gateways, Stripe allows seamless integration of their API on any website. This allows you to keep a certain look and feel during the payment processing. Stripe’s fraud prevention tools are far superior to others.

Stripe also has the advantage of easy signup and setup compared to setting up custom payment gateways through a traditional bank provider. Bank provided gateways often require multiple approvals and processes only to end up with worse than what Stripe offers.

Our plugin provides a seamless and easy way to integrate Stripe’s payment gateway to a website without necessarily relying on a third party during the checkout/payment flow. It also handles the security aspect of maintaining customer information.
