DevOps Trends can be tough to figure out. Arcane explores…
Now that 2020 has begun, there has been a lot of tech bloggers talking about the top DevOps Trends to look out for. Mike and Lou review some of these to let you know if they are real changes or just noise. Starting with IOT and some of the talks we had with Matthew Romagnoli we cover several topics from various articles (linked below).
Some of the trends that we cover include; AI Adoption Will Rise, Tool Fatigue Will Get Worse, Reemergence of (some) Standardization, and more!
Here is a small excerpt:
Lou – I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I posted a few peoples’ blogs about trends in 2020, specifically DevOps trends that are going to be happening here in 2020 and I kind of wanted to see your take on whether you think these are going to happen, not happen or really just don’t have an opinion on it or can’t foresee either way or the other. So, I mean, if you want to get right into it, we can start with the IOT one.
The IOT one I have is 5G drives IOT. And kind of just talking about how the increased capabilities of devices is going to continue to drive that IOT trend that we’ve talked about. And I kind of kind of already answered it here and in the previous podcast, but since we’re talking about now, do you think 5G, is going to have a bigger role in IOT than say, other factors?
Mike – I don’t know. I don’t know that that is necessarily going to have a bigger role. I mean, obviously it has a huge amount.
